Hi,
I'm wanting to upgrade my motherboard in my omen x pc. I was thinking about the ASUS rog strix 270g for the replacment. As far as my research has led me, i believe it is compatible with the omen x case. Idk if i will be able to get the case lights to work but that isn't my top concern. This will be my first upgrade in my omen x case and any help would be appreciated, but more specifically 1. do i have to remove the system board tray to replace the motherboard? 2. will windows10 pro carry over to my new motherboard or what's the process for that? 3. is there a way to connect the case lights? 4. is replacing a motherboard in the omen x pretty much the same process as an ATX tower?
Thx in advance,
- P

Just build a new computer from the ground up. Less hassle.
The OS is not transferrable to the ASUS motherboard.
