Pavilion p7-1154

Hi,

I want to buy the NVIDIA 9800GT Graphic card for graphic design purposes. But before I purchase it I would like to know it it’s possible to be used on the PC’s console.

I’m assuming I’d have to upgrade the power supply and maybe the mother board too.

Please let me know in regard of the 9800GT what PS and mother board should I purchase, if needed, that would fit the console. I have Pavilion p7-1154.

Thank you and best regards

Illustrator has requirements listed here.   The motherboard is Legacy BIOS, so I would stay with WIN 7,  get an EVGA GTX 660 or 670.  These were the last of the known EVGA Legacy cards.  The GTX 670 will pull 170W, so I would again suggest a Corsair CX600. It a perfect fit, and will idle better than the recommended 500W unit.

What are the required specifications of your graphic program.  That unit has 9 different CPU chips. The 9800 GT is terribly "low-end".

Hi Dean and thank you for responding,

Almost all Adobe products are used:

Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

I really don’t know which Graphic card would be the best fit.

Please let me know. Thanks
