My wireless keyboard has stopped allowing key entry. the mouse which is part of the set still functions.  part number  802451-031.  i have followed all support steps:

reset pc and drivers

updated drivers using hp recovery mgr

used different usb port

changed batteries

 

it works when connected to another desktop

 

strangely, it works to enter windows pin ar start up but afterwards only makes "click" noise on keystrokes, no onscreen recognition.

 

can anyone please help?

As I understand you are having an issue with the wireless keyboard not working on your HP PC. Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you get through this concern,

 

Let's try turning off filter keys: 

 

  1. In Windows, search for and open Settings.

  2. In the Settings, click Ease of Access.

  3. Under-Ease of Access, click Keyboard.

  4. Make sure the Filter Keys switch is set to Off.

The keys should now be more responsive.
