The HP p6680t is provisioned to acccomodate two hard drives. These HP 'how-to" articles should be helpful. These are only examples. The hard drive cage in your PC appears to be slightly diiferent to other HP documentation. There are two screws on the left and a latch on the right side. Remove the two screws, depress the latch and lift up and out.
I see you already have a hard drive and cable but I will also provide that information for you.
I recommend that you consider a 3.5" SATA II hard drive that is less than 2 TB. VISTA with sp1 or Windows 7 will correctly format advanced format hard drives if you should choose that type of hard drive.
You will also need a SATA II data cable.
When you look inside your PC to the location of the current hard drive then see if there is an extra sata power connector. The end would look like what is connected to the current hard drive. Otherwise you will need a SATA Y power adapter.

Thanks for the link, this looks to be very complicated to do and don't think I can do this myself will have go get someone that is a lot more computer smart than I am, and that doesn't take much:-)
I'm use to Dell, just open it up, slide in second drive, plug in both cables
Thanks again for the prompt reply
