Pavillion 510-p136
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Pavillion 510-p136 which comes with a 180W power supply (according to the specs)

I want to install a GeForce GTX 1060 gpu. The manufactuer indicates i need a 400W power supply.

Can I upgrade the power supply in this machine to 400W. If so, what kind should i buy?

Greetings @hal2017,

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you looking to upgrade the PSU on your computer to install GeForce GTX 1060 GPU. Happy to help.

Kudos to you for checking the power requirements of GeForce GTX 1060 GPU.

I have checked the specifications fo your computer and Geforce graphics cards.

HP Pavilion Desktop - 510-p136 PC Product Specifications

GEFORCE GTX 1060  specifications mention a 400W PSU with 6 pin connector as a requirement.

You can purchase and install any power support that meets the requirements of the GPU.

However, retain the original power supply installed on your computer in case you need to send the computer in for any service to HP.

Let me know if this helped.

How did you make out on the power supply?  Just bought a 510-P136 and am looking to do the same.
