What type of screw do I use to clamp down the card I bought so that it stays in place?

Hi,

 

You can use the screw that you removed from the metal bay cover and use it to secure the card into the same hole. Tighten the screw firmly but not so tightly that it will strip later.

So then, are you saying that the screws needed to tighten the bracket in place come with the computer?

Here is the Service manual, and as @banhien explained, the computer should have the rear cover plate.  See the section entitled "Removing and Replacing an Add-in Card'. It shows the plate. Different variations have different screw locations, but whatever, the plate is held-down by the screw.

I did some investigative work.

 

After everything is said and done, it comes down to this:

 

After I removed the L bracket from the computer, which revealed the PCi bracket of my video card, that was factory installed.

 

Surprisingly, as far as I could tell, there were no screws holding it i(the video card,) n place.

 

Therefore, are the brackets - of the PCI cards - held in place  by the L bracket? Therefore, no screws would be needed?
