I just purchased HP 750-247c from Costco. I notice there is a a 3 slot for 3.5 hard drive but there is no power or sata cable inside.
Is it possible to add a 3rd hard drive to this computer?

How about a Sata power splitter? then the data cable.

Would you please look at this manual, Pg 9 and 15. Does you hard drive mounting cage resemble this? If so, you will need special screws to mount a hard drive. Standard hard drive screws lack the Fillister Head needed to slide the hard drive into place. Look at the leads on the existing hard drive. Then check the power leads, there maybe a spare SATA power plug. You will need to purchase a Sata 6Gb/sec data cable.
All hard drives fail, whether it's 6 monthes, or 3 years. Don't keep serious data on a constantly spinning hard drive.

Thanks. I already upgraded to 1 TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD and it works great.
I can't seem to find additional power supply for 3.5 in HDD 😞
Poor design. There is clearly a 3 slot. Am I missing something or is this HP design issue
There appears to be two M.2 slots. Hate to buy more stuff when I have old HDD available.

You need to look at the various leads off the power support. Your present hard drive(s) have both a power lead and a data lead, or combo adapter. Report back.

Unfortuntely, i see extra Sata slot but no other power leads.
This unit is only 300W, maybe that is why 😞
one of the M.2 is already used
I have one PCIe left
I can't believe HP designed a min tower with three 3.5 bay slots with 4 Sata slots but only 2 power leads for HDD !!!
any suggestions on how to use the "extra" 3.5 slot?
