Hi all,
I've recently got an used Z620 workstation with dual xeon E5-2670, 64 gb ram and GTX 760 videocard.
The deal is that this morning my workstation was not powering, with four beep error (meaning the fault in my 800 w PSU). Any of you have any experience with the replacements for the PSU, as the standard 24 pin PSU won't fit because of the 18 pin motherboard connection. Contacted the local support service and they're not able to help as the part is no longer possible to be ordered and they do not have any replacements localy.
There is some sort of converters from 24 to 18 pin on ebay or modDIY but will it fit the system? I could not find any connector pinout in the support manuals for the z620 to check.
So any sollution is welcome. Do not want to slay the system and migrate the processors and ram to another motherboard at the moment, so I'm open for suggestions.

Are you located in the North American market region?
There are quite a few places that sell the HP PSU for your workstation. See the search that I did in Google at the following web document.

OK.
Where in Eastern Europe?
Then perform a Google search locally with the HP and the part number for the PSU as keywords. I performed the search from the Netherlands.
Here is the search term:

Looks like the PSU is not an culprit, ordered another one, connected and still no good, four beeps and 4 LED blinks. Connecting only the MOBO makes the fans spin and then 4 beeps, when also connecting the CPU power cable nothing happens. What could be the cause? burned mobo?

Have you tried clearing the CMOS?
Do be aware that Pressing the Clear CMOS button resets CMOS values to factory defaults and erases customized information, including asset numbers and special settings.
