dc 7800 sff

Hello,

 

i want to upgrade the processor for my office pcs all dc 7800 smal factor form from e6750 core 2 due to quad core kindly give me the optiones for that with suggetions. also i have one q8400 ( not q8400S) should i have to test it becuase tdp is 95W in this case but previous is only 65W.

thank you very much sir, this helps me alot. but q8400 is not listed in this list i used it and its working very nicly.

That is good news.  Sometimes a processor not listed works, but you can't tell that until you try one.

 

I have a dc7900 SFF, and it is running just fine with a Q9500 in it, and that isn't listed in the table of supported processors (see pp 9-10).

I bought it used that way.  I would have never installed a processor not on the list. 

 

Too risky unless you know for sure in advance it will work.
