thank you so much for your fast reply if only i got my hands on that chart before i bought the card oh well but still it isnt supported even with the 450 watt psu so if i may ask what tech support should i call the graphics card? isnt there anything i can do to make it work or should i retrun it for one of those mentioned i nthe chart that works
thanks
You should call the Tech Support for the video card manufacturer. They will know if there is any way to get it to work with your motherboard. They are the experts for their products. It is difficult to troubleshoot with a black screen. I would appreciate hearing what they have to say.

Retrohamza, welcome to the forum.
The main limitation for graphics cards would be the BIOS. Cards newer than than the GT 640 series (Which yours is.) require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS. Here is the lastest Illustrated Parts and Service Map for the computer. On Page 2 it has a chart showing the compatible cards. The GT 640 is not shown because it is newer. I can't see any reason why the card won't work. I suggest contacting the manufacturer's Tech Support for help. They know their products best and should be able to tell you if it is compatible with your motherboard.

"Dear retrohamza,
Thank you for your kindly mail and inquiry. Because the power requirement depends on the hardware you use. Therefore, we are sorry to say that there is no specific answer for how much watt it requires. However, you can click here to visit the website and that will give you rough idea about the power consumption.
About the issue you mentioned, if possible, try to test your graphics card in another system, or test your motherboard with different graphics card to see if there's a hardware problem.
If the problem still occurs in another system, a further testing or examination to your graphics card might be required. We suggest you contact your supplier (where you bought the product) to arrange further examination and find out the root cause.
Regards,
GIGABYTE"
They still didnt specify any incompatibility of my motherboard So i will try it in another system this evening and see if it works if it does not ill have to take it back to the supplier and be done with it anyway thanks a lot for your help and have a nice day
