Hi,
A lot of other items also have to be removed.
Before you begin: Remove the battery, service cover, wireless module, optical drive, hard disk drive, keyboard, top cover, and system board.
Steps
- Disconnect the RTC battery from its connector on the system board.
- Using a non-metallic flat-bladed tool, carefully release the RTC battery from the adhesive that secures it to the system board and remove the RTC battery.
Real Time Clock (RTC) battery replacement
Steps
- Connect the RTC battery cable into its connector on the system board.
- Place the RTC battery in position on the system board and gently press down to adhere the RTC battery into place.
