Re: why is my power supply beeping

[ Edited ]

It is important to list the model # of the computer. Different beeps codes mean various problems.

example of codes:http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=bph07107

Hope this helps. BTW, the beeps are from a ultra-mini (piezo) speaker on the motherboard.

Re: why is my power supply beeping

Hi,

If you replaced the "power brick" then be sure that it is rated for the wattge, voltage and amperage that is required by your Touchsmart 320.

The HP "power brick" is rated at 19v, 150 watts and rated for 7.5 amps.

Re: why is my power supply beeping

My HP computer is working OK.  But every once in a while, the power supply will beep.  Sometimes the green light on the power supply will blink on and off while beeping.  Pushing on the switch on the power supply will stop the beeping.  What is the power supply telling me?
