The wired connection won't start with a code 10 on my hpe 170f desktop. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.... no change. Ordered the replace card for the intel 82567v-2 intel gigabit connection card. Received the pcie 802.11 half length mini card and am not seeing where to install. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Where is it located or is there a diagram. I don't see it on the board.
Thanks!

I have found the issue, I was given the wrong part number and subsequently the wrong part. Thank you for your assistance!

Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion Elite HPE-170f Desktop Computer and it's IPMTB-TK (Truckee) motherboard. According to the specs, your system has the following expansion slots;
Two PCI Express 2.0 x16 graphics (for graphics cards)
One PCI Express x4 (for cards such as network, sound, tv-tuner)
One PCI Express x1 (for cards such as network, sound, tv-tuner)
Your computer doesn't have a PCIe x1 mini-card slot for the 802.11 b/g/n WLAN card you received. Based on the specs, your system has an integrated Intel WG82567V wired networking controller on the motherboard and an 802.11 Wireless a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 card installed in the PCIe x1 expansion slot. Return the mini-card if you can.
Your problem seems to be a code 10 in Windows with your integrate Intel WG82567V wired controller. Normally reinstalling the drivers should cure this, however corruption of Windows files could make this more difficult to fix. While not what many like to hear this, reinstalling Windows fixes this problem most of the time. You may also consider using the Microsoft Fix-it Solution Center before reinstalling Windows.
