Hi, I recently bought a Z620 workstation and migrated my Dell's hard drive to it using Acronis Image 2013.  It worked very well but I seem to have lost a few drivers, all under the heading of Other devices in Device Manger.  They are: Base System Device, Base System Device, PCI Serial Port, PCI Simple Communications Controller, SM Bus Controller and System Interrupt Controller.  Everything else seems to be working fine.

Any help will be much appreciated.

You're very welcome.

That is the AMT driver still needing to be installed.

Try the other one listed for 7.xx

Hi:

You would install the following drivers for two of those components for the operating system you are running from the Z620 support and driver page.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=5225039&lang=en&cc=us...

Intel Chipset Installation Utility

Intel AMT LMS_SOL for AMT 8.xx

For the base system device and the System Interrupt Controller, you would need to post the hardware ID, so I can try and identify the hardware from the ID's.

If you don't know where to find the hardware ID please use the guide at the link below.

Here is the id for the base system device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3C28&SUBSYS_158A103C&REV_07

and for the System interupt controller it is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3C2C&SUBSYS_3C2C8086&REV_07

I am trying what you suggested now.

Thank you again.

Hi:

I would try the chipset driver for most of those devices.

The ethernet controller should use this driver.

If those don't work for you, I suggest you post your question on the HP Business Support Forum - - z Workstations section.

Hi,

Thanks for prompt reply.

After the chipset driver was installed, the four devices are now ok.

However, the Ethernet Controiller is still not recognized even with the proposed driver.

Any other idea?

Thanks.
