Pavilion a6242n- I inserted my recovery disc, turned off the machine, and rebooted. I was informed that it was not compatible. Created it when I first got it out of the box. Is there any solution, and if not, how do I find a recovery when it is no longer available through HP?

I won't be able to help you with the recovery disks you made not working but you can still order a set of recovery disks from this non-HP supplier.
