Does the Cloud Recovery app, using the USB stick, allow recovery for any EliteDesk 800 G2 or only the device where the Recovery app was run?  Will it include the original drivers?

Hi:

 

it will work on any 800 G2, and it should include the drivers and software that originally came with the PC.

Directions state that if you are creating the usb recovery on a different PC, to check "I need to enter the serial number for my HP system"

 

Does this mean I would then enter the serial number of the PC to be recovered or am I prompted to enter a serial number during installation?

Hi:

 

You enter the serial number of the PC to be recovered when you run the utility on another PC.

 

When you actually go to use the media created by the cloud recovery client utility, it shouldn't ask for any identifying information.

So no way to just create on usb recovery drive to cover all of the same model?  Looking for a shortcut to save time.  Creation takes over one hour.

Would the recovery CDs (purchased) work if I need to recover multiple 800 G2s?

 

We have imaged many 800 G2s but would like to donate them with the purchased OS.

Make the drive using the one PC's serial number and see if it works on the others.

The HP recovery disks would work on all of the PC's.

It shouldn't matter to HP or Microsoft, since each PC has a W10 license and product key in the BIOS
