I have a Win 7 image file and a repair disk. I have to buy a new disk. Does it have to be formatted?
Thank you!

Hi,
If you're using Windows 7 Recovery Media, all the original partitions will be automatically re-created during the recovery process.
If you are going to install a retail version of Windows 7, just install the hdd, boot from the media and at the installation options screen, choose 'Custom', select 'Unallocated Space' and then proceed with the installation - see the guide on the link below for a more detailed description.
