Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I am attempting to download phone SD card infor to my laptop via a MicroSD adapter. When inserted into the computer, it does not respond. Any help would be appreciated. Dutch44

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post. 

 

I understand that you are unable to read the Micro SD card using an adapter. Don't worry, I will be glad to help. 

Have you tried the adapter on any other computer?

Have you checked the device manager?

 

Recommend to open device manager and check for any unknown devices when the adapter is connected to the USB port on the notebook. 

You can open device manager using the control panel.

Right-click on any unknown device listed there and check for updates.

Open Windows/File explorer and check if the memory card is listed 

Run HP Support Assistant to make sure all the drivers are updated. Click here

Please do try the adapter on any other computer to check if it working fine. 

Also, check if the memory card is write protected.
