Operating System: Linux

i got a HP 15 FD0083WM laptop and decided i wanted to switch the laptop to linux and I began having issues after installing the live installer then rebooting the pc, the pc does not boot. after many troubleshooting i decided to try another linux distro (manjaro). once again it works fine on the live image for installing manjaro onto the computer, but after needing to reboot to actually have the new OS it tries to boot, and after a few minutes it freezes. 

is it even possible to run other OS on this model of laptop?
