Elite 8100SFF
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm looking for the correct Windows 10 64 bit chipset driver for an Elite SFF 8100 system to provide a driver for the PCI serial port hardware. It has a first gen Core i5 750 CPU. Many thanks!

Hi:

You need this driver for that device...

This package contains the Intel Local Management Service (LMS) and Serial-over-LAN (SOL) support for the Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) in supported workstation models that are running a supported operating system. This software is part of the Intel Digital Office Initiative.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56816.exe

When you run the driver file, if you get a message that you are trying to install an older version of the driver, cancel out of the installation.

This file contains drivers for two devices...the Intel Management Engine Interface and the PCI Serial Port.

If you get that message, W10 has installed a newer Intel Management Engine Interface driver than the driver in the above file.

So to install the PCI Serial Port only, manually install the driver as follows...

Go to the device manager.  Click on the PCI Serial Port needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp56816.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver will install.

Then restart the PC.
