HP Device Manager

Hi,

 

 

i am trying to install HPDM 4.7SP5 on a windows 2012 R2 server for the first time. get the following error "HP Device Manager 4.6 is not installed on this machine. setup cannot continue."

 Yes it was an upgrader. Thanks manage to download HPDM.

My guess is that what you are trying to install is an "upgrader" -- it assumes that '4.6' is installed, and it updates a few components to the '4.7' level, i.e., it is not a "full" installer -- that assumes that NO previous version is installed.

 

Did you download the wrong program -- "update" versus "full" ?
