I've purchased Windows 10 Professional and am preparing to do a clean install of the 64-bit version on my C drive (Windows 10 Home is currently installed). When I reach the "Where do you want to install Windows?" dialog, I see the following default partitions:
Name Total size Free space Type
Drive 0 Partition 1 260.0 MB 160.0 MB System
Drive 0 Partition 2 16.0 MB 16.0 MB MSR (Reserved)
Drive 0 Partition 3: Windows 1842.5 GB 1633.1 GB Primary
Drive 0 Partition 4: Windows RE tools 980.0 MB 611.0 MB Recovery
Drive 0 Partition 5: RECOVERY 19.3 GB 2.3 GB OEM (Reserved)
When I select Partition 3 and attempt to install, I receive the message "We couldn't install Windows in the location you chose. Please check your media drive."
I have the following questions:
- What steps should I take to install Windows 10 Professional on this drive?
- Do I need to delete the existing partitions prior to installation?
Thanks!

Hello
Clean install may be better if you delete all existing partitions before install.
This step is important. Your PC uses GPT.
You must boot to Windows 10 installation media with UEFI device in Boot Menu. If you boot non UEFI device Windows installation media can't see the GPT partitions as it needs MBR.
Reboot to windows install media and make sure you select correct device in UEFI boot options
