I need to order recovery disc set please

I need to get a set of recovery disks for this pc, please. The hard drive has failed and I need to get boot program and Windows 7 OS installed on my new hard drive.

I contacted HP Support on this website and they won't help me at all because my HP is outside of warranty period (only response and option given is to go to this forum).

Please let me know how to order recovery discs for this machine.

which lists all the available downloads for your model of computer.

While some HP computers give instructions on how to order a "System Recovery Set",

I did not see those instructions for your model.

So, my suggestion is to download Windows 10, via: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10

and install it on your computer.  When installing, do not enter a product-key.  Thus, you have a limited-time "trial" version.

If it works, and Windows 10 contains all the device-drivers for your computer, then you can purchase a product-key.

If not, then find a friend with a "retail" copy of Windows 7. Borrow it, and use the product-key listed on the decal on the side of your computer, and install Windows 7.  Then, go to the above HP web-site, and download all the HP-specific device-drivers.

HP no longer sells recovery disks for your PC.

As I see it, you have two options...

1. Order a set from this non-HP vendor (who buys the recovery disk sets from HP, when HP decides to no longer sell them directly).

2. Make your own plain W7 installation media if you can still read all 25 characters of the Windows 7 product key on your PC's case.  Then install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

This site claims to have genuine, unadulterated W7 ISO files for download...

You can use either the:

 Win 7 Home SP1 or the (Retail version, but the  OEM key on your PC's case will work with it)

 Win 7 Home SP1 COEM (This version would be for what HP would have used--System Builder)

N is for European Union countries.

K is for South Korean markets.

Then you can use this tool to transfer the file to a 4 GB USB flash drive or a DVD.

Thank you for your advice. Windows 10 has been nothing but trouble for me (my biggest mistake was to "upgrade" to Win 10) so I won't install it back on this computer. Again, thank you. I appreciate the advice

Thanks for your reply. Neither of the downloads from heidoc worked for me. I also checked out ComputerSurgeons and ordered a recovery disc set. Hopefully, it works and I've not just thrown away $32. 😐 Thanks again for your advice.
