HP Touchsmart model 520-1140 e

My HP has been creating too much noise when on. The warranty has expired but otherwise still in good condition and I want to repair it. Somebody has told me it is to do with hardware but I don't know because I am not an expert. I would greatly appreciate any advice as how can I repair this very very annoying reccourrance?! It also gets hot which would get crashed completely. Than you in advance. J

Before "repair", let's try "diagnosis".

Google-search for "download free SPECCY".

Download, install, and run SPECCY.

It will tell you the temperature of the disk-drive, the temperature of the CPU, the temperature of the motherboard, and the speed of any fans inside your computer.

Tell us the numbers.

It's possible that your hardware is "overheating", and the motherboard increases the speed of the fans to try to move more cool air through the interior.  Faster fans mean more noise.

Also, what's the room temperature where you are? Over 80 Fahrenheit in Hawaii or some other tropical place?
