Proliant ML110G2
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have aquired an old HP Proliant ML110G2. It is currently running Windows 7 32bit and I would like to upgrade it to Ubuntu Linux. before I do so, I would like to update the BIOS  (currently HP 1.14 S 2015/12/08).

How can I do this? When I search the HP Customer Support page, it gives me a "too many results found" error. When I go to the HP Enterprise Support Centre it tells me "Support Validation Required".

Clearly this is a very old machine, and it's out of warranty. Also, I am not the original owner. So, assuming that there is a BIOS update available, how do I access it?

Hi:

You may also want to post your question on the HP EBC support forum -- ML Servers section.

And from what I can see from the link below, the latest BIOS update is from 2005 (1.14s), and the latest supported Windows OS is Windows Server 2003.
