Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
My hard drive has failed and I didn't create recovery discs. I searched the HP site and found my product but no recovery discs were available for Windows 7. They did have recovery media available for my product for Windows 8 but when I tried to navigate the site further, I got a "blank page" ( and I'm not even sure I would be able to use Windows 8 since that wasn't what was installed originally)

At this point I am just trying to figure out what my options are for getting a working operating system onto a new hard drive so my computer is useable. I would prefer to find a way to access the software I had originally at as low cost as possible but if not what are my other options?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Sorry, but HP no long stocks recovery media for the older Win7 PCs.

Since HP no longer provides Recovery Media for your model, a couple of other sites you should check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

Good Luck

Hello, thanks for replying. Actually my PC is Windows 8 factory installed. Is there any options to save my PC?
