My friend asked me to help her sell her HP Pavillion 15.
I created Recovery disks using the laptop's recovery disk creator tool.
I blanked the drive with our DoD eraser software.
I ran the Recovery Disks.
The disks say they are not authorized for this computer.
I don't understand how that's possible. I created the disks on the same computer I'm trying to use them on.

Hi,
"I blanked the drive with our DoD eraser software." is the main problem, no available signature now. I always use the Recovery set over the top. I know why you have to erase the HDD.
My suggestion: Pull it out, mount to a different computer, initiate it and make it like a new HDD then reinstall it back.
Regards.
