The HP Support Asssistant will not locate my new HP Pavilion 24 Monitor it has found my PC & Printer but not the monitor.

You are looking in the wrong place.

 

A display is not a smart device type that the HP Support Manager will recognize as being present.

 

Use the Device Manager in Windows to find your display.
