We are traveling from California to Alabama and wonder if I can leave in the car at night, so as not to take in and out of hotels.
Will the cold harm it? I know once we get there not to turn it on till it has had time to acclamate to room temp., Is this right? Is it ok ?

If by cold, you mean below freezing temperatures, leaving it in the car is not such a good plan.
Extreme cold has very bad effects on LCD screens.
The condensation which would appear inside the device if you turned it on after freezing, without letting it warm up, could destroy it.

Hi Joyce,
Happy holidays to you and yours. If you stop in the area of Amarillo, Texas on the way from California, it will be very cold.
Best regards,
Eric
