Hello,

I am attempting to install HPDM 5.0.8, but during the install it says that it is unable to archive the software configuration.

HPDM Error Message.png

I am also unable to use the backup and restore tool, because it just freezes in place and won't continue (I have left it running overnight without progress).

Is there another way to backup the old settings/templates before upgrading?

I am not sure if uninstalling 4.7 and then installing 5.0.8 will transfer the old settings since I received this error message.

Thanks!

I was able to upgrade to 4.7 SP13 from 4.7 SP10 without backing up (luckily it saved everything)

After that I was able to run the 5.0.8 installer to backup the system before uninstalling 4.7 and installing 5.0.8.

I guess it was just an issue with the SP I had installed.
