Has somebody else used your computer, and set that password?

Did you get an unsolicited telephone-call from "windows support" (not "Microsoft Corporation") claiming that your computer has a problem, and that you "need" to let them remotely access your computer to "fix" the problem?

That could have been a scammer, who added the password, and now is asking for a "ransom" to be paid?

Note that Microsoft's support for Windows XP ended in April 2014 -- almost 3 years ago.

So, it's time to buy a new computer, remove the disk-drive from the old computer, and connect it as a "slave" disk-drive on the new computer, and copy all the files from "old" to "new".
