Hi @84014,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP laptop is stuck in a boot loop, which can be frustrating. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Hard Reset: Disconnect all peripherals and power sources, then hold down the power button for about 15 seconds to perform a hard reset. This can sometimes resolve issues with boot loops.
  • Check Power Adapter: Ensure that your laptop is receiving power from the adapter and that the battery is charged. Faulty power adapters can cause startup problems.
  • BIOS/UEFI Settings: Access the BIOS or UEFI settings (usually by pressing a specific key during startup, like F2 or Del) and check if there are any settings related to boot priority or power management that could be causing the issue.
  • Safe Mode: Try booting into Safe Mode by pressing F8 repeatedly during startup. If your laptop boots successfully in Safe Mode, it could indicate a problem with a recently installed driver or software.
  • System Restore: If you're able to access Safe Mode or the Advanced Startup Options menu, you can try performing a system restore to revert your laptop to a previous state when it was working correctly.
  • Startup Repair: Use the Windows 10 installation media to access the Startup Repair tool, which can automatically diagnose and fix startup problems.
  • Check for Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue causing the boot loop.

These steps should help you diagnose and hopefully resolve the issue with your HP laptop not booting up properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
