Compaq 8200 Elite
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just received a new Compaq 8200 Elite that had been refurbished.  However refurbished the computer put a label over the top of the Win10 Product key code and when I removed the label it remove part of the key.  This is what I see of the code:

First five characters are missing, the next five are blurred although I can see what I think is the second set of five - D5GC2

The last fifteen characters are:  F2GBP-XRM96-V6DGR.

Please provide me the complete product key to get my computer activated.

Thanks

Hi,

Please use tools on my first reply to get the key. Why do you need Windows 10 key to setup ? Very straight forward and very simple, it will activate itself normally.

Regards.

Hi:

The PC came with W7 Pro from the factory and I would bet the key you messed up was for W7.

I suggest you contact HP technical support and order a set of W7 recovery disks.

In the USA/Canada call:  1-800-334-5144

Have the serial number of the PC handy to give to the customer services rep.

A set will cost around $10 delivered via 1st class mail.

If the refurbisher installed W10 and didn't do the free upgrade, unfortunately, no one here, nor HP will be able to help you.

The HP W7 recovery disks will not need a product key to activate.

Hi,

The key is in the BIOS of your machine, please use the following tool to get it:

   http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

When run this tool, it produces a report, scroll down to Software Management section. Windows 8, 8.1 or 10  product key is in there.

You can also use the following tool to find out:
