This Pavillion 1110 started out as win7, now migrated to 10. At some point I deleted the recovery partion and merged the space into C:.
Now I'm trying to use Win10 settings/recovery/"Reset this PC" with the Remove Everything option to clear out all my files and IDs etc. When I set this up and punch the RESET button the HP Recovery Manager pops up with options that don't allow proceeding with the Reset. I can't see where this thing is getting loaded or how to disable it.
HP Recovery Manager isn't listed as an installed program in Control Panel, so I can't uninstall it there. I tried right-clicking and uninstalling on the icon in the start menu, nada. I even tried sending RecoveryMgr.exe to the recycle bin, no luck.
There are a few HP programs in Control Panel- 'HP Setup', HP Support Assistant', 'HP Update', etc but I don't think uninstalling them would help.
I'm thinking about downloading Recovery Manager and reinstalling it, in hopes that I can then uninstall it.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
