Product: hp 870-040na Omen gaming pc

just a quick question is it normal for my new omen gaming pc to get hot around the case mainly at the rear when playing fallout 4, or is there a way to see what the core temp is

@freddy5, welcome to the forum.

 

You have a great computer!

 

If the heat is coming from where the fans are removing the heat from the case, this is normal.  The GTX 970 video card develops a lot of heat.

 

Here is an Intel Temperature Guide.  You can use Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to check the temps of your processor.  Just know if you decide to use the tuning features, you should be extremely careful.  The faster the processor speed, the highter the temps.  When you open the app, it will give you several warnings that you have to answer in the affirmative to use it.
