Product: Hp envy 7640 Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer says it is not connected to the internet so I cannot receive new ink cartridges when needed, please help.

Are you using wireless or the wired connection for internet access?

 

Are you able to connect to the internet at home via your router and a notebook or desktop PC? 

 

Download the reference guide at the following link and go to chapter 8. Follow the instructions on page 82 to set up your printer's internet connection. The steps you follow are dependent on which method you are using to connect to your router or cable box.
