I get a "CD Creator has stopped working" message when trying to run Recovery Media Creation.  I am trying to create a system backup on a 32 gigabyte flash drive.  USB 3.0

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Envy h8-1534 PC and when you try to run Recovery Media Creation to create a system backup on a 32 GB flash drive, an error appears saying that the "CD Creator has stopped working."

I would like to know if this is the first time you are trying to create the recovery media or if it was created ever before. Because the PC will allow the creation only once. Meanwhile, I suggest you to refer to this link on the how to create the SUB recovery media for your PC: Creating a recovery image on media for your HP desktop computer.

Hope this information helps. Keep me posted. Cheers!
