Computer restarts cannot do a recovery, it says bios error

Some time ago my Pavilion A706N kept restarting out of no where.  I was able to do a recovery and it fixed the problem for a while.  Since 2 days ago it kept doing constantly, I did another recovery it fixed the problem for a few hours and same problem.  After several attempts not able to boot not even in safe mode, I tried the recover again.  It went through the format process but got stuck saying I have a bios error.  Now I am stuck.  It gives me different errors.  Help.  If I just get a new hard drive will that help?  Can I recover my hard drive eventhough I cannot boot my computer?

What is the exact error that you see?

You can follow these instructions to check your hard drive:  Testing the Hard Drive.

Microsoft has some good information on the repair procedure for the NTDLR IS MISSING error message. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318728 I recommend reading completely through the information before starting any repairs, if you decide to follow the instructions. You may want to then re-read to insure you are familiar with what Microsoft is advising you to do.
