Hello everyone, I am experiencing an annoying problem with my MediaSmart DVD software. I bought the computer and it played my blu-ray copy of Avatar with no problem at all. Then I bought Inglorious Basterds and it played that blu-ray without a hiccup, so I decided to buy the collector's edition of Avatar. It will not play the collector's edition I just bought, or the original Avatar that I know for sure it played. It still play's Inglorious Basterds though. I'm not sure why it is doing this, but I've tried re-installing both the software and the blu-ray drive to no avail. it would seem that it is the software because I have downloaded and installed the latest edition of CyberLink Power DVD and it plays all of them just fine. I know that I could buy Cyberlink Power DVD, but after spending four thousand dollars on this computer, I would prefer for it to work. I would appreciate any help that can be given. it would be nice if someone from HP could provide me with a link to a different version perhaps? I have version 4.0.1.3902. Thanks everyone.

What model HP PC are you using?
You probably should try going back to a known good system restore point before your problems started occurring.
Right mouse click on my computer, then properties, then system protection and click on the restore button. When the restore window opens, click on the box to show all available restore points and then a date when your PC was last working correctly. If you are using Norton AV then be sure to turn off "tamper protection" under the miscellaneous setting before trying the restore process.
