I think you have solved my problem! I ran the health analysis and It connected to the servers and downloaded updates. I left the room for a second and when I got back there were tips on the screen! That means it worked, right?

HP Support Assistant is not installed on my computer. The link provides a download for a maintenance update for Support Assistant.

Since I have no application to update - where can I get HP Support Assistant for Windows 7 desktop?

My HP Support Assistant died on me so I deleted it and downloaded it again and still not working.
