I have installed the drivers where there were yellow ! on the device manager screen, but i can't seem to find the driver to get the PCI Serial Port so i can connect to my cable broadband and get updates.
Look forward to your replies.

Connecting to a cable modem is normally done with a CAT5 cable between the LAN connector on the back of the desktop PC input/output ports and the modem.
I have never heard of it done using a serial connector for a consumer (you). serial port data transmission is to slow to be efficient.

Hi:
Please click on the PCI serial port in the device manager. Then click on the details tab.
Post the top string of characters you see.
Those will ID the type of serial port it is and I can try and find the driver for it.
Did you install the chipset driver?
I have a dc7100 and have run every recent OS on it. Never had any missing devices.
I can't remember what driver you could be missing.
I agree with Eric. If you have connected your modem via a RJ45 network cable, I doubt that is the reason you cannot connect to the internet.
As long as your network adapter is installed, that should be working.
Anyway, please post the hardware ID for that device and I'll see what I can find.

Hi:
It appears that you do not have XP SP2 installed or there would be a details tab in your screen shot.
Please update to SP3 so the details tab appears and type the top line of the hardware ID in that tab.
You can only get that info if SP2 or SP3 is installed.
Use the standalone download at the link below. Copy it to a flash drive or CD and install on your PC.

Hi:
What that device is is a Netmos 9835 2 Serial Ports & 1 Parallel PCI I/O Card.
Since that card was not part of the PC's original equipment, finding a driver for it is going to be problematic.
You can try this one at the link below and see if it works. Download the top download file icon.

If that doesn't work, I can't find any other drivers you can try.
