Problems with "Help and Support"

Forum Friends,

When I attempt to use the "Help and Support" option, inclusing the User Guide and System Information, they

open with what looks like software program language, rather than English. Is there a way that I can delete

this service and reload. I would like to avoid having to delete and reinstall the Vista operating software.

Go to the Programs and Features applet located in the Control Panel and uninstall HP Help and Support.  Then download and install the newest version from here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-60844-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...

Carey,

It didn't download. The site indicated that it was for a laptop. I am using a

Pavilion a6660x desktop. Please advise further.

Tim,

 

Are you trying to reinstall HP Help and Support?  Or trying to disable the service?  If you disable service, Help and Support will not launch correctly.
