Hi all, I hope someone can help me.  I have a Pavilion M9090uka system the problem is when I tried to recover to factory settings it stopped and said that the file system needed repaired.  So I repaired it, now the system will not recover either from the F11 at start up or the recovery manager programme.  I have tried to create recovery media but it says that i have already did this and will not allow me to do it, but i never have created them and I never got any supplied with the system.  Any help would be great on this.  Many thanks in advance

Ciaran

Re: Recovery

The best way would be to get a Recovery Set from HP for a small fee.  See here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph07143&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3632217

Re: Recovery

hi The oldman, thanks for the reply.  A friend has given me a set of recovery discs he had form his last HP system, these are also for a 32bit vista  home Premium system.  Would these discs work on my system ? there are three discs two are marked 5014-0916 &1-2 then 5014-0917 & 2-2 and the last is supplemental recovery

Re: Recovery

Unless the HP your friend had was the same model as the one in question, then the Recovery Disk set will probably not work.  They are very particular about how the Recovery Set can be used and it checks the model and hardware before continuing.
