I just upgraded my HP Pavilion a6750f from Vista SP2 to W7. This machine came with AMDRaidXpert, which I planned on taking advantage of after W7 upgrade.
In Vista, the AMD RaidXpert ran from the Start Menu just fine, I could see the drives and all of the set up to enable RAID.
Before the W7 upgrade, I installed a second Seagate SATA drive, and cloned the original drive to the new Seagate as a back up. Then did the W7 upgrade on the original drive.
W7 sees both the original drive and the cloned drive, and I can view files on the cloned drive so I know the drive exists to W7.
I now want to enable RAID, but the AMDRaidXpert program gives me a http://localhost:25902/amd not found error. I've gone to the AMD website, and downloaded the driver (RAIDXpert2.4.1540.4_X2) thinking I might need an update. The driver install tells me that the driver on the computer is newer than the downloaded version and terminates. There's no more support info on the AMD site about RAIDXpert.
Help would be appreciated as setting up RAID on this machine.
