I would like to perform a clean install of Window 7; however, I'm afraid of losing Microsoft Home Basic Editions. I purchased each system from different companies and paid extra to have Microsoft Home Basic Edition installed. Neither system came with restore disks so I’m not sure how this works? I included my systems and other basic information below. I appreciate your help. ![]()

Create a recovery disc set first, do this on both PCs and label them appropriately, store in a safe place.

There are 3 ways to run recovery on HP PCs
2 are from the Hard drive, one method is done while in Windows, the second is done from the Bios post screen using F11
the 3rd is done from the Recovery discs you make.
Back up your data, all will be lost during the restore process
