Hi there,
I have an HP Pavilion Slimline S3644UK running Vista (64-bit). I have installed the latest version of Windows Messenger Live & the programme runs fine, except when trying to use a Webcam.
As soon as I try to connect using the webcam the programm closes with a window saying "Windows Live Messenger Has Stopped Working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" - there is no solution.
The same problem happens when I try to use the Audio Video Wizard in the Messenger Tools Menu - the Audio part works fine even using the built-in Mic on the webcam, as soon as I click nest to go the the Video part, the programme close with the same message.
The same problem occurs with the webcam unplugged & also with the webcam software un-installed. I have also tried deleting & re-installing Messenger Live, but still have the same problem. The webcam (a Mikomi DC-7120) works fine with Messenger on a laptop running Vista.
I have searched this forum for any similar problems & also on the net but but can find nothing.
Any help to solve this problem would be great.
Thanks.
