bios e9250t

We lost power in the house - the computer powered off an on. An error message was displayed an error message I/O... I can't recall what it said. The desktop is working fine with the exception of the fans. The fans are blowing on high. I tried a system restore, cleaned the dust out of the unit and several people stated to reload the bios. I tried to locate the bios on the HP site and it not there. The bios i am looking for is 8.00.15 11/27/09 Is this the best approach or do you think I have a hardware problem?

Hi,

There is not a bios update posted for the HP e9250t.

Try clearing the CMOS.

Re: bios e9250t

Thanks big dave. I opted to shutdown, unplug/replug the fan from the mother board and rebot. That seemed to fix the problem. I didnt try the CMOS. I appreciate the guidance but it seemed to resolve the problem. The weird thing - the fans are running but I didnt hear it kick in to a high level. I will need to monitor it and see if this is going to be one of those weird situations. thanks for the quick response.
