Hi... Purchased my desktop in 2013. Came with Cyberlink PowerDVD software. This morning the desktop icon no longer opens the program. I went into the computer's program files and found the Cyberlink folder, found PowerDVD folder, and clicked the .exe file. A message says that the "trial version has expired" and I have to buy it. Is this correct? Why would HP sell me a computer with a DVD program that expires? That can't be right, can it? Is there a way to reinstall it? Thanks.

I can't explain why that happened but no, it should not have just up and expired on you.

This package provides the Cyberlink PowerDVD application in supported models
that are running a supported operating system.

You're very welcome.
The file downloads fine for me.
I am going to zip it up and upload it to my skydrive folder, and share the link with you.
It's going to take several minutes for this since it is such a large file.
I will post back with the link when after the file has uploaded.

Here is the link to my Skydrive folder.

I have zipped up the file and you want to download the file labeled sp75514.
I use this version of Cyberlink PowerDVD12 on all of my HP Desktop and notebook PC's and have not had any issues with it.
It also has support for W10.
