Hi,

Your machine does have DVD Player and  CyberLink Power Media Player  to play DVD's

Do you put them to the right place ?

Regards.

@freestar,

Maybe it's how you tried?  Here is a neat program.  Works in WIn 7 and 10.  It will Eject or Close the drive.  It's also handy when the location of the button is difficult to push when the drive has opened.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

How do I access Cyberlink to play dvd's? Do I have to buy it? I can't see any way to open disc drive that DVD is in.  All I get is a message to insert disc. I already did and it kicks it out and says insert disc.  I also downloaded windows DVD player and it will not work either. I am lost. Help!!!

@freestar,

Are you understanding what you said?

 You said: "I can't see any way to open disc drive that DVD is in.   All I get is a message to insert disc. I already did and it kicks it out and says insert disc".

Very interesting.  It opens, it closes.  Did you download and install this program.

I did install program and paid about $45 for it. It just will not play a disc. I solved the problem. I uninstalled program and am suppose to get a refund. A sure cure. This  program is just not what I thought it was.

@freestar.

The "Power Eject" gadget is free.  Whatever you did download was not.

I do consider this issue closed, as you said the problem is solved.
