I have apps showing on desk top i am just wanting to have the life at a glance on right side with frequently used apps showing and all others now showing till you click on apps icon.

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Win10 has two different desktop display formats. In one, all the tiles show on the screen. In the other, only the Start Meny shows on the screen, along with any shortcuts.
IF you are using the first one, you're not going to be able to customize it the way you want.
If you are using the second, you can control what shows in the Start Menu by adding and removing tiles.

There is a third possibility. It you want the older style appearance of WIN 7, with the ICONS that you want displayed, the may I suggest "Classic Shell". There is a tutorial on the appearances. Here is the program. <PS> I use it.
